“Reclaiming Our Voice, Restoring Our Power”

The Arizona Democratic Party, like Democratic Parties across the nation, is suffering from an extreme lack of support and voter confidence.  Our party has been seen as lacking in strong leadership and forgetting who it is we are supposed to be representing. The belief that too many of our elected officials are answering to corporate lobbyists and not the voters is rampant among voters. I only see one way forward and out of the chaos in which we find ourselves. It is time to reinvent our party with a whole new platform and outlook that acknowledges the tsunami of cultural changes and challenges that have taken place in our cities, in our state, and in our country in the last 10-20 years. It is time for the NEW Arizona Democratic Party!

It is time for us to have weekly statewide zoom calls so volunteers and leaders can feel connected to what is happening within our party and within our state. It is time that we rewrite our bylaws to include a finance oversight committee whose job it will be to hold accountable and share the financial status of our state party.  And it is time to assign concrete duties to all vice chairs and to create a set of operating procedure guidelines so we don’t waste time reinventing the wheel each election cycle.

It is time we have a robust and exciting outreach program that includes a strong social media campaign, in person gatherings, and continuous onboarding opportunities so we can fill every Precinct Committee and State Committee slot with well informed and motivated Democrats.

It is time for Arizona voters to open their ballot and see a Democratic candidate that they can vote for in EVERY SINGLE RACE!

It is imperative that we work to protect every citizen's right to vote and to have that vote counted and make voter registration easily available to every citizen.

It is time we stand up and fight for every member of our community in meaningful ways. We cannot just show up every two to four years and ask for their money and their vote. Instead, we must stay involved in communities year-round and support progressive measures that make a meaningful difference in people's lives.

It is time we allow and encourage the next generation of voters to see people that look like them running for office. It is time for our leadership to reflect the demographics of our ever more diverse state.

This is my platform and with your support we can make this happen and bring the Arizona Democratic Party into the present and prepared for a much brighter future.
